Barium Dinonylnaphthalene Sulfonate Rust Inhibitor
Barium dinonylnaphthalene sulfonate is a classical high-performance rust and corrosion inhibitor with exceptional water-displacing properties, used in protective oils, rust preventive compounds, and metalworking fluids. The barium salt form provides stronger adsorption on metal surfaces compared to calcium analogues and is particularly effective in humidity-cabinet and salt-spray testing conditions. It remains the benchmark rust inhibitor for long-term storage and preservation applications despite newer alternatives.
