Cleve's Acid 6,4 (1-Naphthylamine-6-Sulfonic Acid)

Cleve's Acid 6,4 is a naphthylamine monosulfonic acid used as a diazo component in the synthesis of direct and acid azo dyes with blue and navy shade ranges. The 6-position sulfonic group on the 1-naphthylamine skeleton directs specific coupling geometry that yields characteristic deep blue colorations with good wash and light fastness. Chemzip supplies this specialty intermediate for high-performance dye formulations.
