2-Phosphonobutane-1,2,4-Tricarboxylic Acid (PBTCA)
PBTCA combines both phosphonate and carboxylate functional groups, giving it dual scale inhibition and dispersancy performance in industrial water systems. It is especially effective in high-pH and high-alkalinity cooling water systems where conventional phosphonates may precipitate. PBTCA also exhibits synergistic corrosion inhibition when used with zinc salts and azoles.
