Glutaraldehyde Biocide
Glutaraldehyde is a non-oxidizing broad-spectrum biocide effective against bacteria, fungi, sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB), and biofilm-forming organisms in industrial water systems. It works by cross-linking proteins in microbial cells, leading to rapid cell death. Glutaraldehyde is widely used in oilfield water treatment, cooling systems, and paper mill operations.
