Calcium Salicylate Detergent
Calcium salicylate detergent is an overbased metal detergent additive that provides excellent acid neutralization, antioxidant activity, and high-temperature deposit control in engine oils. The salicylate structure offers inherent antioxidant functionality through its phenolic moiety, differentiating it from sulfonate and phenate detergents. It is widely used in modern low-SAPS engine oil formulations (ACEA C1/C2/C3/C4) and has become the preferred detergent for stringent exhaust aftertreatment-compatible lubricants.
