Calcium Complex Soap Grease Thickener
Calcium complex soap thickeners are produced by the co-crystallization of calcium long-chain fatty acid soaps with calcium acetate or calcium borate, creating a complexed crystal structure with a dropping point of 250–280°C — significantly higher than simple calcium soap. Calcium complex greases offer exceptional water resistance and adhesiveness, making them the preferred choice for steel mill, food-grade, and high-temperature applications where water contamination is unavoidable.

Applications
- Steel mill and hot rolling mill bearing and slide greases
- Food-grade grease applications (with food-grade base oil and additives)
- Wet environment equipment bearings in paper mills and chemical plants
- Automotive and truck chassis grease for water-exposed suspension points
- Wire rope and cable lubricants requiring water resistance
Key Features
- Outstanding water resistance: <1% water washout (ASTM D1264) for wet and submerged applications
- High dropping point (250–280°C) for high-temperature service beyond lithium grease capability
- Excellent adhesiveness and tackiness prevents washoff from slow-moving machinery surfaces
- Compatible with food-grade base oils (white mineral oil, PAO) for H1 food-grade grease production
