Lithium 12-Hydroxystearate Grease Thickener
Lithium 12-hydroxystearate (lithium 12-HSA) is the foundation thickener for the world's most widely used multipurpose greases (NLGI #1, #2, #3). It forms a fibrous soap network in mineral or synthetic base oils that provides excellent structural stability, water resistance, and shear stability at temperatures up to 120°C. Lithium greases thickened with 12-HSA dominate automotive wheel bearing, chassis, and industrial general-purpose grease applications globally.
