Mannich Base Nitrogen Dispersant
Mannich base dispersants are synthesized by the condensation of alkyl-substituted phenols with formaldehyde and polyamines, producing nitrogen-containing oil-soluble dispersants with excellent deposit control and sludge-dispersing capability. Unlike succinimide dispersants, Mannich bases offer superior high-temperature varnish inhibition and are particularly effective in gasoline engine oil formulations and turbocharged engine oils where oxidative deposit control is critical.

Applications
- Gasoline engine oils requiring high-temperature piston and ring deposit control
- Turbocharged gasoline direct injection (TGDI) engine oil formulations
- Combined with PIBSI for balanced dispersant performance across temperature range
- Fuel system deposit control additives for gasoline and diesel injector cleanliness
- Two-stroke engine oils where high-temperature cleanliness is critical
Key Features
- Superior high-temperature varnish and lacquer inhibition compared to succinimide dispersants
- Excellent thermal stability enables effective performance in modern turbocharged engines
- Complementary to PIBSI: Mannich base controls high-temperature deposits, PIBSI handles low-temperature sludge
- Ashless nitrogen chemistry compatible with all base oil types and low-SAPS formulation requirements
