Molybdenum Dithiophosphate (MoDTP)
Molybdenum dithiophosphate (MoDTP) combines the antiwear functionality of dithiophosphate chemistry with the friction-reducing capability of organo-molybdenum, offering a dual-action performance additive for premium lubricant formulations. Unlike MoDTC, MoDTP also contributes phosphorus-based antiwear protection, making it effective in both boundary and mixed lubrication regimes. It is particularly valued in gear oils, automatic transmission fluids, and high-performance engine oils.
